Aston Villa are preparing for life back in the Premier League.

According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa’s senior management team have met with Dean Smith to make decisions about their summer plans.
Villa beat Derby County 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Monday afternoon, securing their return to the Premier League after a three-year absence from the top flight.
The celebrations are still going on, but Villa must now begin to plan for the summer transfer window, with big decisions to be made at Villa Park.
Sky Sports report that boss Smith has met with chief executive Christian Purslow and Jesus Garcia Pitarch to discuss the plans, starting with loanees.
It’s claimed that Tyrone Mings, Axel Tuanzebe and Tammy Abraham are the three names at the top of their transfer wish list after successful loan spells, but there’s no word on the intentions over Anwar El Ghazi and Kortney Hause.
Keeping all five loanees would be ideal to save on squad turnover, especially with a host of players out of contract at the end of next month.

Glenn Whelan, Tommy Elphick, Albert Adomah, Mile Jedinak and Alan Hutton are all poised to become free agents, and their futures will have been discussed in that meeting – though Micah Richards is leaving and won’t be handed a new deal.
Villa are keen to avoid the problems Fulham encountered last summer in terms of having to scramble for new signings late in the window due to their season ending later than everybody else’s, and this meeting will hopefully stand Villa in good stead.
