Aston Villa are said to be chasing John Terry, following his departure from Chelsea.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa fear that they have lost out in the race for John Terry.
Steve Bruce has been desperate to convince Terry to make a move into the Championship with his Villa side.
However, the veteran defender seems more likely to move to Bournemouth at this moment in time.

The Cherries are believed to be prepared to offer Terry a more valuable contract and can provide him with Premier League football.
Villa had made Terry one of their top targets, as Bruce feels that the Chelsea legend could improve the quality of his backline.

But any deal always seemed unlikely, and the claret and blues are now fear that they are fighting a losing battle.
Villa will apparently find out Terry’s decision on his next club soon, with the former England international set to make his move in the near future.
