Scott Hogan is reportedly willing to join Aston Villa, as they are prepared to meet his wage demands.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Brentford striker Scott Hogan’s potential move to Aston Villa is looking more and more likely to be completed before the deadline.

Villa have moved for Hogan, after the 24-year-old’s switch to West Ham United fell through.

Steve Bruce is prepared to offload Ross McCormack to make room for Hogan, who he feels can enhance his attacking ranks.

Brentford want £15 million for Hogan, and although Villa are yet to have an offer accepted – the transfer is reportedly edging closer to completion.

Villa are willing to pay Hogan Premier League wages to ensure that they get the man who Bruce believes could lead the line for the foreseeable future.

Brentford’s Scott Hogan celebrates their first goal

Hogan originally wanted a move to the top level, but he is now apparently content to make a switch to Villa Park.

Hogan has netted 14 goals in 27 matches for Brentford so far this season, and is one of the most feared marksmen in the Championship.

Hogan is very unlikely to feature in Brentford’s match tonight which, coincidentally, comes against Villa at Griffin Park.
