Aston Villa’s move for midfielder Nemanja Radoja appears to be collapsing.

According to El Desmarques, Aston Villa had an agreement with Celta Vigo midfielder Nemanja Radoja – but a work permit issue means a deal may be off.
Villa have already brought in one major signing, landing goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic from Gent in a huge coup for boss Dean Smith in his first transfer window as Villa manager.
However, Villa are still keen on more additions, and recent speculation has linked them with a move for Celta Vigo midfielder Radoja in another ambitious move.
Now though, El Desmarques report that whilst Villa had an agreement with Radoja, the deal may now be off as he can’t gain a work permit to play in England.
Radoja, 25, may be a Serbian international, but he has just two caps and hasn’t appeared for his country since 2017, meaning a work permit is virtually impossible for him to obtain.
That means that Fiorentina are now ready to swoop for Radoja, leaving Villa frustrated after scout Juanfran – a former Celta player – had seemingly teed up a move.

Radoja has been frozen out of the Celta side this season having refused to sign a new contract, with a 2019 exit all but assured.
It’s unclear whether the agreement with Villa was to join immediately or in the summer on a free transfer, but Villa may now have to look elsewhere for midfield reinfocements.
