Aston Villa are set to take on Brighton & Hove Albion in their next game.

L-R Tyrone Mings of Aston Villa and Bjorn Engels of Aston Villa concern for the Fans

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are hoping for a double fitness boost before their next match.

Villa take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend and there are some fears over both Heaton and Engels.

The pair, who have been mainstays in Villa’s starting line-up this term, are both nursing slight knocks.

But Dean Smith feels that they both should both be available next weekend.

If Heaton and Engels are available Villa’s chances of claiming three points against Brighton will be increased.

Tom Heaton of Aston Villa looks on during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at Selhurst Park on August 31, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Engels has formed an excellent partnership with Tyrone Mings at the heart of Villa’s defence, while Heaton is their most reliable goalkeeper.

The claret and blues do have cover in both positions, but Smith will not be wanting to make too many changes, given that his side beat Norwich City 5-1 in their last fixture before the international break.

If Villa can beat Brighton when they are next in action they would move on 11 points from nine games, which would represent a very positive start upon their return to the top flight.
