The Huddersfield Town defender is reportedly wanted as John Terry’s replacement.

Aston Villa are being credited with interest in Michael Hefele of Huddersfield Town.
The Daily Mirror reports (liveblog entry 09:17) the Villans are considering a cut-price move for the Terriers centre-back as John Terry’s replacement.
Aston Villa were forced to release Terry after their failure to gain promotion last season, while Christopher Samba has also left.

And things could get worse still in that department, with Tommy Elphick expected to join Reading and James Chester a candidate to be sold as Villa attempt to raise funds, according to the Daily Mirror.
With his Huddersfield contract due to expire in 12 months’ time, Hefele is therefore an attractive option for a club in the Villans’ position.

The German played just six times in 2017-18, but was a key member of the Terriers side that won the Championship play-offs the previous campaign.
Huddersfield recently completed a permanent deal for fellow centre-back Terence Kongolo.
