The Burnley boss is reportedly on a shortlist of three to succeed Roberto Di Matteo at Villa Park.

Aston Villa are considering Burnley boss Sean Dyche as a possible replacement for Roberto Di Matteo, according to the Daily Mail.
Di Matteo was relieved of his duties on Monday, having led the Villans to just one win in his 12 games in charge.
And Dyche is said to be one of three names on Villa’s shortlist, alongside ex-Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce and Huddersfield’s David Wagner.

Dyche has twice led Burnley out of the Championship in the past three campaigns, but would be the hardest of the trio to lure to Villa Park even, the report claims, ‘accounting for a large increase in wages’.
And the Clarets’ bright start to the campaign – 14th after seven Premier League fixtures – could further convince the 45-year-old that his future remains at Turf Moor.
Bruce, who left Hull City on the eve of the new season having too led the Tigers to promotion last term, is considered the front-runner to succeed Di Matteo, with the report adding that Huddersfield would be ‘steadfastly against Wagner leaving’, after the German led them to the top of the Championship this season.

However the permanent appointment of Steve Clarke, who has taken the reins at Villa Park on a caretaker basis, is yet to be ruled out, according to the Daily Mail.
