Aston Villa are confident of signing Tammy Abraham despite links with a number of other Premier League clubs.
That is according to 90Min, who report that Villa seriously believe that Abraham will be heading back to Villa Park.
Abraham spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa, smashing 25 goals in 37 league games.
Those goals helped Villa win promotion to the Premier League but Abraham returned to Chelsea.
Abraham become a first-team player for Chelsea but was sold to Roma for around £34million in 2021.
The 6ft 3in hitman has now scored 36 times in 98 games for Roma but may fancy heading back to England.
It’s stated that Villa would need to pay around £40million to sign Abraham this summer.
That is a hefty price but with Villa pushing for European qualification, Unai Emery could be backed handsomely in the transfer market.

Tammy Abraham has been linked with boyhood club Arsenal
Aston Villa already have a top striker right now with Ollie Watkins on fire in 2023.
One think Watkins and Abraham share – outside of being England international hopefuls – is a boyhood love for Arsenal.
Abraham grew up supporting Arsenal and The Athletic reported that Abraham was actually desperate to join Arsenal in 2021 before his Roma move.
Speculation linking Abraham with a move to Arsenal has continued into this season.
Tuttomercatoweb reported in November that Arsenal like Abraham whilst CalcioMercato added in December that Abraham was a potential replacement for injured Gabriel Jesus.
That never materialised and Arsenal may now have turned their attention to Watkins instead.
Transfer reporter Rudy Galetti reported back in March that Mikel Arteta was asking Arsenal to sign Watkins.
Watkins told Pro Direct Soccer in 2022 that he was a ‘big Arsenal fan’ growing up, just like Abraham.
During his time at Brentford, Watkins also admitted that playing for Arsenal was his ultimate dream.
Villa would be delighted to keep Abraham and Watkins out of Arsenal’s clutches, with Emery potentially calling upon two boyhood Gunners to strengthen Villa’s push for the top four next season.
