According to the Daily Record, Aston Villa are rivalling Bayern Munich for the signing of Hearts full back Aaron Hickey.
It’s claimed that Villa are in the race for Hickey, but will face major competition for the teenager’s signature this summer.
Bologna have joined the battle, but Bayern Munich are keen to add him to their growing Scottish contingent.
The Bundesliga giants have already landed Liam Morrison from Celtic and now want Bhoys teenager Barry Hepburn too.
Villa now want to pinch Hickey in something of a coup, with £1.5million needed to prise him away from relegated Hearts.
Hickey, 18, has emerged in the Hearts ranks but did have a prior spell at Celtic, and has now become a first-team regular at Tynecastle.

Capable of playing at right back or left back, Hickey looks set for a bright future, and it’s no surprise to see the vultures circling having seen Hearts go down.
Villa had success in the Scottish market with John McGinn, and could now look to repeat the trick by luring Hickey to Villa Park this summer.
