Aston Villa and Wolves are reportedly keen on Nottingham Forest’s Saidy Janko.

According to The Sun, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both interested in signing Nottingham Forest defender Saidy Janko in 2019.
Janko, 23, joined Manchester United from FC Zurich in 2013, but failed to make the grade with the Red Devils – and a 2015 move to Celtic sparked a nomadic career for the Swiss ace.
The right back struggled with Celtic and moved on to Barnsley on loan before earning a move to French side Saint-Etienne in 2017, and just one year there landed him a summer switch to Porto.
However, Porto decided to loan Janko out almost immediately, allowing him to join Nottingham Forest for the season, and he has made five appearances for Aitor Karanka’s side so far.
Janko is catching the eye when he plays, and given that he is only on loan from Porto, clubs are now forming a queue for his services in 2019, with The Sun reporting that Aston Villa, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all keen.
Any deal in January would need an agreement to cancel Janko’s loan move, making it more likely that the fight for his signature will take place at the end of the season when his Forest deal ends.

Fulham may look to Janko as a long-term replacement for on-loan Manchester United right back Timothy Fosu-Mensah, whilst Wolves’ interest may simply be as competition for Matt Doherty, whereas Villa have a host of right back options in James Bree, Alan Hutton and Ahmed Elmohamady.
Forest, Villa and Wolves all have ties to super-agent Jorge Mendes, and given that Janko would be coming from a Portuguese club, it would be little surprise to see him acting as an intermediate agent in any 2019 move for the speedster.
