The Brentford defender is a reported summer target for Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to a report from Turkish media outlet Asist Analiz, Aston Villa and Wolves both want to sign Brentford ace Yoann Barbet, but the Midlands clubs will face competition from Super Lig outfit Besiktas.
The 26-year-old centre-back has spent four years with the Bees, but he is out of contract this summer, meaning that Aston Villa or Wolves will be able to pick him up on a free.
Good Signing?
Standing at 6ft 2in tall, Barbet is strong in the air, and he has the added bonus of having played four years in English football, meaning that he will be more than accustomed to its robust nature.
The Villans and the Black Country outfit are both in need of another centre-back, but it could be argued that they need to be more ambitious in their summer recruitment.

The Brentford defender is a solid player, but he is unlikely to get Villa and Wolves’ fans’ pulses racing.
The Midlands duo might just be better served in spending some serious cash on a younger, more exciting centre-back this summer, especially if they want to finish towards the top end of the table.
