Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both keen to add a striker to their squads this month.

According to a report in L’Equipe, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both battling it out to sign Enzo Crivelli from Angers.

Crivelli only moved to Angers last summer, but the switch has not worked out as hoped.

The 22-year-old has hit just one goal in 15 appearances for Angers, and he could be set to depart soon.

Villa and Wolves have reportedly not been put off by Crivelli’s poor scoring record, and will offer him the chance to move to England.

The Frenchman has never played outside of his home nation before, but could be keen for a fresh start after what has been a difficult season to date.

Villa and Wolves are both keen to sign a striker this month, as they look to strengthen their bids for promotion.

Wolves are already clear at the top of the league, but Nuno’s side do not want to rest on their laurels.

Villa, meanwhile, are currently pushing to take second spot, after winning their last four matches in succession.
