The Leeds United and West Ham United-linked Conor Gallagher is in talks with Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, according to The Guardian.

The newspaper claims Gallagher was ‘expected’ to join Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

But it is said that Palace’s seemingly imminent move for the Blues striker Michy Batshuayi – a player linked with all four of Leeds, West Ham, Aston Villa and West Brom this calendar year – will prevent that from happening, as Premier League clubs cannot borrow more than one player from the same divisional rival at any one time.

And Villa and West Brom appear to have seized the initiative.

Leeds’ interest is also referenced by The Guardian, which adds that West Ham have been alerted to Gallagher’s availability.

Gallagher starred on loan to Championship sides Charlton and Swansea last season, scoring or assisting 17 goals. And gaining Premier League experience will be next on the midfielder’s agenda.

Crystal Palace could still sign both Batshuayi and Gallagher, provided Chelsea are willing to sell the latter player for whom The Sun reported earlier this summer the Eagles were ready to offer £10 million.

Aston Villa, West Brom, Leeds or West Ham? What’s the best move now for the Chelsea kid?
