It has been reported by the British tabloid that the 20-year-old striker is rated at £10 million.
Although Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is a big fan of the youngster, he cannot guarantee him regular playing time in the first team next season, according to the report.
Big decision ahead
Obafemi has been on the books of Southampton since 2016 and has made a handful of appearances for the first team.
With Danny Ings the clear first-choice striker at the Saints and back to his best, it is hard to see Republic of Ireland international Obafemi get much playing time at St. Mary’s Stadium next season.
However, the youngster could get chances at Villa or West Brom, with Wesley Moraes the first-choice striker at the Villans and the Baggies getting promoted to the Premier League and needing to strengthen their squad.
Perhaps a loan move from Southampton to Villa or West Brom would be better for Obafemi instead of a permanent transfer.
