Northampton Town’s Caleb Chukwuemeka is a target for Aston Villa, with the Premier League outfit looking to reunite the teenager with his highly-rated brother, according to the Mail.

The name Chukwuemeka might not exactly be a familiar one in the Midlands but that could soon change.

In England U17 international Carney, Aston Villa have ‘probably the best 16-year-old in England’ at their disposal.

Not our words – the words of CEO Christian Purslow ( Birmingham Mail).

With Carney’s brother Caleb turning down the chance to sign a professional contract at Northampton, Aston Villa are allegedly looking to pair up the Chukwuemeka siblings at Bodymoor Heath.

The Mail reports that Norwich City – a club who are always on the lookout for exciting and technically gifted youngsters thanks to their eagle-eyed sporting director Stuart Webber – are also interested in the 6ft 3ins starlet.

Villa’s interest is no surprise.

Even if Carney was not plying his trade in claret and blue right now, Dean Smith’s side would surely be in the race for Caleb’s signature anyway.

After all, the Premier League giants have made it their mission to transform their already impressive academy into the finest in English football, with the £3 million signing of 16-year-old Louie Barry a reflection of their lofty ambitions.

Villa have also beaten Bayern Munich to the signing of another Football League teen sensation this summer – Exeter City’s Ben Chrisene.
