According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa and Derby County are both hoping to keep hold of their on loan Chelsea stars if they are promoted this season.

Villa have taken Tammy Abraham on a temporary basis, while Derby have borrowed Mount for the season.

The Chelsea youngsters have both had superb seasons in the Championship, and Villa and Derby are eager to keep them.

The second tier pair realise that doing so would be impossible without top flight football though.

And Villa and Derby are only planning on making moves for their loan players if they can earn promotion.

Villa are currently sixth place in the Championship table, but there are a huge amount of clubs challenging them for their spot in the play offs.

Derby are one of the teams hoping to catch up with Dean Smith’s side, as they are currently in seventh place – just one point behind the claret and blues.
