Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have both been impressed by Alfredo Morelos’ form for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side.

Palace are said to be prepared to spend £20 million on the Rangers forward, with Dean Smith’s Villa side also eager to bring him in.
Although Villa are not yet said to be preparing a bid, it is thought that the claret and blues could move for the Rangers man in January.
Morelos has 15 goals already this season, and he has previously expressed an interest in playing in the Premier League.
“I dream every day of playing in the Premier League,” he said to TalkSport last year.
Rangers do not want to lose him in mid season though, and the report claims that Steven Gerrard will look to bat away any offers.
Whether Villa or Palace will be able to present Rangers with any offer that makes them think twice about this stance remains to be seen, but Morelos sticking around would be a boost to the Ibrox side’s title chances.
Morelos is arguably the best striker in Scotland, with the Colombian proving hugely problematic to deal since his move to Ibrox.

Villa currently have limited options up top, with Wesley, Keinan Davis and Jonathan Kodjia their main options.
Palace, meanwhile, are on the hunt for a goalscorer, as they haven’t found a consistent finisher so far this term.
