Report: Aston Villa and Birmingham City both interested in Peterborough United man Luke Strachan

Aston Villa and Birmingham City are both keen to sign Peterborough United’s Luke Strachan.

According to a report in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, both Aston Villa and Birmingham City are tracking Peterborough United youngster Luke Strachan.

Strachan has put in some highly impressive performances for Posh’s youth team, and he is regarded as one of the top young talents at the ABAX Stadium.

Villa and Birmingham are now keen to offer the young midfielder a new home.

Strachan has been promoted to Posh’s under-18 squad this season, and has even had run-outs for the League One side’s reserve team.

Strachan is the grandson of current Scotland boss, Gordon, and has a proud footballing background behind him.

Birmingham and Villa competed for a number of players in the summer transfer window, including John Terry, and their scouts both seem to have picked up on the same talent once again.

Whether Posh will be open to relinquishing one of their top youngsters for a fee remains to be seen.
