Aston Villa and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on Marvelous Nakamba.

According to The Chronicle in Zimbabwe, Aston Villa were ready to secure a £20million deal for Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, but have been forced to delay a move.
Nakamba, 25, had spells in France and the Netherlands before heading on to Club Brugge in 2017, and him impressive displays have resulted in major interest.
It’s claimed that Watford had eyed up Nakamba as a replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure should be move on, whilst Newcastle United have been interested too.
The report states that Villa were pursuing a £20million deal, and were ready to secure his signature before Club Brugge decided to delay a move.
The Belgian side seemingly believe that Nakamba’s value could rise with his performances at the Africa Cup of Nations, so have forced Villa to shelve their move.
Nakamba is a diminutive, hard-working holding midfielder, earning comparisons to N’Golo Kante for his relentless displays in Belgium.

Villa need a holding midfielder having released Glenn Whelan and Mile Jedinak, and Nakamba fits the bill perfectly, offering the defensive protection to allow Jack Grealish and John McGinn to go and attack.
Villa splashing £20million or more on another Club Brugge player would be a surprise though, having signed Wesley Moraes last week, and Nakamba is a name for Villa fans to keep an eye on during the Africa Cup of Nations.
