Aston Villa are reportedly hoping to win the race to sign Bury’s Jacob Bedeau.
According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are hoping to beat the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Bury defender Jacob Bedeau.
Villa have already tied up one deal this month by bringing Sam Johnstone to Villa Park on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season, and whilst fans may have their eyes on big-name signings, Villa may actually land a player for the future this month.

The Daily Mail claim that Aston Villa want to sign Bury teenager Jacob Bedeau, and are ready to take on three of the Premier League’s elite clubs in the race to sign him.
Bedeau, 17, has come up through the ranks with Bury, and was given his league debut at the age of just 16 against Millwall back in November.

The centre back has now made six starts in League One this season, and his performances appear to have made him the subject of interest from major clubs.
It’s stated that Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are all keen on Bedeau, but Villa are now hoping to beat the Premier League giants in the race to sign him.
Bury have recently lost Matty Foulds to Everton and Emeka Obi to Liverpool, and won’t want to lose Bedeau as well, but it may be difficult to keep him out of the clutches of such huge clubs.
Villa will hope that a greater chance of first-team football at Villa Park will help them win the race, whilst playing under a former top defender in Steve Bruce could also be something of an appeal to a youngster like Bedeau.
