According to The Guardian, Aston Villa will have to pay £20 million to sign Callum Wilson from Bournemouth in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Villa have had a bid of £15 million for Wilson turned down by Bournemouth, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

According to the report, the Cherries want closer to £20 million for the 28-year-old, and the club have accepted that the England international will leave this summer.

Pay the extra £5 million?

Wilson is a good striker who knows the Premier League inside out, and the 28-year-old would be a good signing for Villa.

The 28-year-old scores goals and also links up well in attack, and he would make Villa better and stronger in attack.

Villa need to sign a new striker this summer to avoid another relegation dogfight next season, and they cannot just rely on Wesley to score the goals.

If £5 million more is what it takes for Villa to sign Wilson, then they should seriously consider paying it and get the deal done soon.
