Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley will not reduce his asking price for the club, despite he desire to sell it, according to the Guardian.

Ashley is keen to find a new buyer for Newcastle, and has been frustrated over PIF’s failed takeover of the club.

However, he is apparently under no financial pressure to sell, and therefore will not drop his demands.

Bellagraph Nova Group are the latest potential buyers of Newcastle, but their rumoured bid for the club will not be enough to persuade Ashley to sell.

It now remains to be seen whether BNG will make an improved offer for Newcastle or walk away from the deal.

Newcastle have suffered badly with a summer of uncertainty, despite a huge number of potential buyers being linked.

Newcastle are still currently owned by Ashley, and that is now affecting their chances for next season.

Newcastle are understood to have a limited transfer budget, which means Steve Bruce’s side could be left short of quality for next term, unless a takeover deal can be agreed sooner rather than later.
