Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is ‘growing impatient’ as the potential takeover takes longer and longer to be approved, the Chronicle report.
Newcastle have been waiting for the Premier League to make a final decision over whether their Saudi owners will be allowed to buy the club for months now.
Ashley has been very quiet during the process, but now apparently intends to demand answers from Premier League officials over the progress of the deal.
It is a complete change in stance from earlier this month, when Ashley was said to be relaxed over the process, as reported by the Chronicle.
At that stage Ashley was said to be happy to leave matters in the Premier League’s hands, but with the situation no closer to completion, he is seemingly pushing for answers now.

Ashley will be hoping that he is informed that the deal will eventually go through.
The Newcastle owner is apparently intent on selling the club, with Magpies supporters also keen for a change of ownership.
Ashley has been heavily criticised during his time on Tyneside, with Newcastle supporters feeling that he has shown a lack of ambition.
If Newcastle’s current takeover is green lighted they are set to become one of the richest clubs in world football.
