Dendoncker has struggled since joining Wolves on loan from Anderlecht.

Gazzetta Dello Sport have claimed that Italian heavyweights AS Roma are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Leander Dendoncker from parent club Anderlecht this month.
Dendoncker, 23, has managed just four appearances this season for Wolves since joining the club on loan from Anderlecht – despite being linked with big-money moves elsewhere in the summer, and finishing third in the World Cup with Belgium.
Goal claim Wolves have a permanent clause in the loan-to-buy switch that could see him join the impressive newly-promoted side for just £12million. But he is struggling to show why he deserves such a deal.
However, the Belgium international did impress in the surprise 3-1 win over Tottenham last time out – playing in holding midfield. It may just give him a chance at saving his career with Wolves.
Roma may have been watching his performance against Spurs, as they are now interested in signing the versatile ace who can play in midfield, at right-back or in the middle of the defence.

“We are evaluating different options for Leander, but so far we have not talked directly with Monchi [Roma director of football],” Dendoncker’s agent and brother said, as quoted by Gazzetta.
It remains to be seen whether Roma are indeed preparing an offer for Dendoncker, and what Anderlecht’s current asking price is. But the prospect of swapping the Midlands for a Champions League semi-finalist will come as tantalising.
