Meite is the latest name to be linked with a move to Spurs.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato have reported that AS Roma have had a £13.5million bid rejected for Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite, just hours after he was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Meite, 24, has been in excellent form for Serie A side Torino this season, missing just one league game due to a yellow card suspension. Indeed, Meite has been one of the stand-out midfielders in the division so far.
The central midfielder only just moved to Torino from French side AS Monaco in the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £9million. Just six months later, AS Roma and Spurs both want to sign him.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport claim midfielder Meite is also said to be interesting Tottenham, who are in desperate need of a new central midfielder after Mousa Dembele agreed to move to Chinese side Beijing Guoan for £11million (BBC).

Victor Wanyama has also been linked with moves elsewhere of late – including AS Roma – and signing a player such as Meite would be a cheap alternative when compared to some of Europe’s world beaters.
He is renowned for his intricate array of passing as well as his eye for goal, but most impressively, it is Meite’s lung-busting stamina that sees him fail to tire throughout 90 minutes.
However, they face competition from Roma for Meite’s signature too. But Spurs will be confident they could land the France youth international after Roma had a bid rejected for his services – believed to be in the region of £13.5million.
