Angelo Ogbonna celebrates scoring for West Ham
Roma are considering an approach for West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna, according to Sportitalia via TuttoMercatoWeb.
The report claims that the Italian giants could turn to the 28-year old in a bid to plug the gap left by Kostas Manolas, who looks set to depart in the coming weeks.

The powerful centre-back enjoyed a successful debut campaign with the Hammers – appearing 33 times in all competitions – and with James Tomkins leaving for Crystal Palace already this summer, it seems unlikely the club would sanction his departure.
Ogbonna is currently sidelined through injury and was absent for West Ham’s shock defeat to Slovenian minnows NK Domzale last night.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic
Slaven Bilic’s men struggled in their Europa League qualifier and were second best throughout, finishing on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline.
The porous nature of the Hammers’ rearguard throughout pre-season and into their first competitive fixture will be a real concern for Bilic, with the start of the Premier League fast approaching.
Ogbonna was a rock at the back for West Ham last year and they will not want to see him return to Serie A this summer.
