Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is not at all convinced by Dani Ceballos, according to The Sun.

Arsenal have had Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid all season, but it does not seem that a permanent move is in the pipeline for the Spaniard.

Arteta has apparently not been won over by Ceballos, with Arsenal now looking for alternative targets.

Ceballos did score the winner in Arsenal’s most recent FA Cup clash with Sheffield United, but even that goal has reportedly not swayed Arteta’s decision.

Ceballos now faces a very uncertain future ahead of the summer transfer window.

The technically adept midfielder apparently does not want to return to Madrid as his first-team chances are limited.

Arsenal, meanwhile, may push for a move for a more defensive minded midfielder instead of Ceballos.

Arsenal have been linked with a number of targets heading into the summer, with Thomas Partey though to be near the top of their wishlist.
