Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has turned down the opportunity to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan, the Daily Star report.

Mikel Arteta’s side have recently been linked with the former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker.

However, Arsenal are said to have other priorities, which leaves Eriksen’s future in limbo.

The £25 million Dane (FC Inter News) has made little impact at Inter, and looks set for a move in the new year.

But without Arsenal making a move, Eriksen could potentially have a lack of suitors.

Good decision?

Arteta saying no to Eriksen could come as some surprise, as the Gunners have lacked creativity this season.

Arsenal have struggled to make openings for their strikers, and Eriksen’s arrival surely would have aided them in that regard.

But the 28-year-old hasn’t been at the top of his game for some time and, perhaps, Arteta didn’t want to take a gamble on an out of form player.
