Mikel Arteta now sees Folarin Balogun as a dispensable player at Arsenal, the Independent claim.
Arsenal have been trying to encourage Balogun to sign a new deal with the club, but he has delayed and it seems that he could now be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta wants to raise funds and the Independent claim he is one of eight players who could be sold this month by Arsenal.
That news may come as a disappointment to many Arsenal supporters, as the youngster is very highly regarded.
Balogun, who has hailed as a massively ‘exciting’ prospect by Everton’s Yannick Bolasie, has scored prolifically for Arsenal’s development squad over a number of age groups, and has looked promising in his fleeting first-team appearances.
Arteta said to Football London just three weeks ago that he wanted to keep Balogun at the club.

But it seems that he has now had a change of heart and that could leave to the Arsenal prospect departing in the near future.
Balogun has been linked with a move to Liverpool by the Athletic recently, with Jurgen Klopp’s side thought to be interested.
