Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to make both Matty Ryan’s and Dani Ceballos’s moves to the Emirates Stadium permanent in the summer, The Sun say.

Ceballos has spent the last two years on loan at Arsenal, and it seems that the club have now decided that keeping him around on a long-term basis is their best option.

To do so Arsenal will need to agree a fee with Real Madrid, which has proven problematic in the past.

Ceballos appears to have little future at the Bernabeu, but Madrid still value him fairly highly.

Ryan, meanwhile, should be a simpler purchase from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Australian, who made his Arsenal debut in a defeat against Aston Villa, has been knocked out of the number one spot this season by Robert Sanchez and Brighton are likely to now be open to his exit.

Ryan does seem to offer Arsenal more protection than Alex Runarsson, who was the club’s second choice in the early part of the season.

And his arrival on a permanent basis would surely make Arteta feel more comfortable with his goalkeeping options for next term.
