Arsenal could sign Runar Alex Runarsson and allow him to make his debut against Leicester City, the London Evening Standard have reported.
Runarsson is set to join Arsenal in a £1.5 million move, and he should come in as Emiliano Martinez’s replacement.
While some managers may have wanted ease a new signing into life, Mikel Arteta appears to feel differently.
The Spanish boss apparently wants the deal completed soon so that Runarsson can go in goal straight away.
The Icelandic international could well start against Leicester, in what would be an immediate show of faith from his new manager.

The pressure would be on Runarsson if he was to feature, as replacing Martinez could be difficult.
The Argentine was very popular at Arsenal and barely put a foot wrong after being called into the first-team, which encouraged Aston Villa to sign him this summer.
