Arsenal fans could see a familiar and yet forgotten face in their first XI this weekend.
Mikel Arteta is set to struggle to pick his best centre-backs.
David Luiz is suspended following his horror show against Manchester City, and Pablo Mari – who got injured at the Etihad – and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are both sidelined.
And according to The Standard, Arteta could bring Rob Holding in from the cold for the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 24-year-old had been playing Premier League 2 football for Arsenal prior to the season being suspended, and hasn’t made a competitive appearance for the senior side since January.
But he could be back in the squad at least and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares.
The former Bolton star, signed by Arsene Wenger in 2016, is by no means a poor defender, but there is a sense that he has lost his way and maybe, just maybe, this is the stroke of luck he needs to send a message to Arteta.
