According to AS, Alexandre Lacazette and Mikel Arteta’s relationship at Arsenal isn’t perfect despite the club’s mini-resurgence in form.
The Spanish news outlet reveal the information amidst a report stating that Real Madrid want Olivier Giroud.
AS suggest Lacazette as another potential signing for Zinedine Zidane, but then go on to make two big claims about the former Lyon striker.
Firstly, they reveal the aforementioned information – Arteta and Lacazette’s relationship isn’t the best.
Then, AS add that the 16-cap France international is part of Arsenal’s ‘squad cleaning operation’ – suggesting that the north Londoners have no plans to keep him.

This isn’t the first mention of Arsenal being dissatisfied with their centre-forward.
A report from CBS Sports said that the Gunners are looking at Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and RB Salzburg’s Patson Daka, as there are doubts over Lacazette’s long-term quality.
It very much sounds as if Arsenal aren’t putting much faith in Lacazette from a long-term perspective.

Sadly, these reports aren’t fair on the 29-year-old right now.
Lacazette is playing very well, and has scored five goals in his last six appearances, as well as recording one assist.
Hopefully, talk about his relationship with Arteta won’t distract him, as he’s currently providing the Gunners with a vital source of goals following a dismal run.
