Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Cedric Soares as the club consider their right back options, according to Football.London.
It’s claimed that right back is one of the positions Arsenal want to strengthen this summer given that Hector Bellerin could be allowed to leave.
Technical director Edu would ideally like to sign Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi, believing the Moroccan is the ideal option at right back.
Yet with money tight and Hakimi likely to cost big money, it’s unclear whether the Gunners will have the funds to realise Edu’s dream signing.
So what does Arteta think? Well, it’s claimed that he particularly admires Cedric, and there’s a chance he ends up as Arsenal’s first-choice right back.
Arteta recently praised Cedric for bringing a ‘different quality’ to the Arsenal side, whilst branding him ‘gifted’.

Cedric, 29, isn’t flashy and certainly isn’t an exciting talent for the future like Hakimi, but he has earned the trust of Arteta.
Signed from Southampton on a free transfer last summer, Cedric has been a welcome surprise at Arsenal – and his performances could yet see him land a much bigger role next season.
