The Arsenal star has his heart set on a move to Manchester United, according to a report.

Mesut Ozil of Arenal is dejected after the Premier League match between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield on August 27, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

A report from the Mirror today claims that Gunners ace Mesut Ozil has already begun telling his teammates that he will be leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer, before joining up with Manchester United.

The 29-year-old has come in for heavy criticism from some sections of the Arsenal faithful in recent weeks for what has been perceived as a total lack of effort and commitment to the Gunners’ cause.

Ozil arrived at the Emirates from Real Madrid in September 2013, for what at the time was a club record fee of £42.5 million, and initially impressed for Arsene Wenger’s men.

His work-rate, or lack of it, has been questioned over the past two years though, with many fans and pundits alike claiming that Arsenal are a better team without the World Cup winner.

The Mirror suggest that Ozil has rejected terms on a new deal worth around £275,000 per week, and has already informed his teammates that he will be linking up with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Mesut Ozil of Arsenal passes during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC at Birds Nest on July 22, 2017 in Beijing, China.
