According to ESPN, Matteo Guendouzi has turned down the chance to join former boss Unai Emery at Villarreal as well as moves to Valencia and Atalanta.
The French midfielder is seemingly out of favour at Arsenal.
Guendouzi hasn’t featured for the Gunners following the defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion in project re-start, missing their subsequent FA Cup run to victory at Wembley.

Now, ESPN claim the Gunners are actively looking to move him on this summer.
But their £35 million valuation is beyond what Paris-Saint Germain want to pay, while Guendouzi has turned down the likes of Villarreal, Valencia and Atalanta.
Villarreal, now under the guidance of Emery, are looking to rebuild their side in La Liga and once again push for a place in the Champions League.
It’s unlikely the Yellow Submarines offered a tempting deal for the player, but perhaps Guendouzi was asked in advance while making his stance clear.
Arsenal have made strides under manager Mikel Arteta. However, the squad still feels heavy while there appears to be a missing piece of top quality in midfield.

ESPN add that Lyon’s Houssem Aouar is their top target. But any deal for the Frenchman may depend on them recouping first with Guendouzi an evident piece of the jigsaw.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018 and made 57 Premier League appearances in the past two seasons, scoring just once in the Europa League.
