Arsenal’s bench were said to be calling for Leeds United’s Liam Cooper to be sent off during yesterday’s game.
Cooper thought he had given away a penalty in the first-half, when the Leeds centre-back stepped in the way of Bukayo Saka’s driving run.
Referee Craig Pawson initially pointed to the spot, before overturning his decision after a VAR review of the incident.
Arsenal’s bench were left bewildered by the verdict, as they initially thought he was heading to the monitor to check for a red card offence.
Arsenal had seen David Luiz sent off for a challenge against Wolves in similar circumstances.
And the Gunners bench were apparently appealing for Cooper to be handed a red.
Instead, Arsenal saw the penalty cancelled out – as Leeds were given a lifeline.

The Whites didn’t take it though. Leeds quickly gave away another penalty, as Illan Meslier dallied in possession before bringing down Saka.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang duly converted from the spot to put Arsenal 2-0 in front, before Hector Bellerin made it three just before the break.
Arsenal then added a fourth just after half-time, and although Leeds did stage a fight back with two goals, it was too little too late, as Arteta’s side picked up the three points.
