According to Super Deporte, Real Madrid want a deal worth a total of €10.5million (£9.35million) to loan out Dani Ceballos again next season.

Arsenal struck a deal to sign Ceballos on loan last summer. They took him for the season, but had no permanent clause negotiated into the move.

Ceballos has shown flashes of his quality, and was deployed in a deeper role by Mikel Arteta before the season was suspended for the global pandemic.

Arsenal now face a decision on Ceballos. The midfielder is set to return to Real this summer, and the Gunners may not be in a position to offer a permanent move.

The pandemic will have hit Arsenal’s budget, so a loan move may be the only way to bring him back. Now, it’s claimed that Real want deal totalling £9.35million.

That involves €6.5million to cover his wages and €4million for a loan fee. Valencia are considering paying it, having tried to break Arsenal’s loan deal in January.

Ceballos wants to play for Spain at the European Championships next summer. To do that, he needs to be playing regularly – and Arteta now needs to decide whether to pursue a loan extension.

El Confidencial recently claimed that Arsenal don’t intend to bring Ceballos back, but with the Premier League set to return, he may have one last chance to tempt the Gunners.
