Report: Arsenal won’t take no for answer on Boakye

Arsenal may have been firmly rebuffed in their attempts to sign Juventus owned striker Richmond Boakye, but it is suggested they will keep pushing.

Ghanaian international Richmond Boakye is not on the market, but Arsenal are said to be determined to lure him away from Juventus.

Juventus have owned the 21-year-old since 2012 and bought full rights after a period of co-ownership with Genoa because they believed he had enormous potential.

Boakye is currently on loan to Serie A side Atalanta and has looked sharp, already finding the net twice for the Bergamo-based outfit.

It is the latest temporary switch with Boakye having already played for Spanish club Elche and Italian top tier minnows Sassuolo.

Reports suggest that Arsenal have become enamoured with Boakye but have been told he isn’t for sale by Juventus directors.

However, the Daily Star and several Italian sources suggest that Arsenal aren’t ready to give up and will try and table an inviting bid in January.

Juventus have a wealth of talent on loan to other clubs in Italy and may be persuaded to let Boakye leave if it frees up immediate cash to strengthen their first-team squad.
