Arsenal have withdrawn from the transfer race for Tottenham Hotspur target and Leeds United winger, Raphinha, according to a report.
Spanish outlet SPORT have claimed, with Arsenal closing in on Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, they have decided to step back from signing Raphinha, as he is still keen on joining Barcelona.
The issue here is that Barcelona are in a financial mess and probably need a number of players to leave, before they could sign the Brazil international, even then you would still question how the La Liga giants would bring him in.

But, as things stand, that’s not happening, with several Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs, all keen to snap up the 25-year-old this summer.
Whilst SPORT claim that Leeds United’s trickster on the right was ‘never’ close to moving to the Emirates, it’s different to what Fabrizo Romano is reporting.
It needs to be remembered that SPORT are a Spanish outlet, so they will have some sort of insight into their own teams, as well as some form of bias.
But Romano has made it clear on Twitter that Arsenal have ‘already scheduled a meeting with Leeds’ for their winger, whilst Barcelona, Chelsea and Spurs are still in talks with the player’s agent, who was dubbed a ‘magician’ by his teammate, Daniel James back in November, as he told FIFA.

ARSENAL AND SPURS GETTING THE BUSINESS DONE
Over the years, both Arsenal and Tottenham fans have moaned a lot at how their club has been run, especially when it comes to transfers and backing the manager.
But, this summer, both teams are seemingly making moves and getting the job done after they battled it out for Champions League football last season.
Spurs have the obvious advantage because they are in the Champions League, but their neighbours are seemingly making sure that it doesn’t happen again.
Fabio Vieria has already arrived from Porto and it seems as though the deal for Jesus to arrive from Manchester City is ‘100% done’.
