Arsenal are reportedly set to scout Dominik Szoboszlai.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal will be sending scouts to Anfield on Wednesday night in order to watch Red Bull Salzburg playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai in action.
The Gunners only have Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid, and with Mesut Ozil clearly having no long-term future under Unai Emery, finding a playmaker for the future will be key.
It’s now believed that 18-year-old Szoboszlai is on Arsenal’s radar, and they will take full advantage of him playing in England on Wednesday night by sending a scout to see him take on Liverpool.
Salzburg won’t be expected to really challenge Liverpool, but young talents like Szoboszlai and Erling Braut Haaland will be looking to impress amid speculation about huge clubs wanting them.
Szoboszlai has already notched three goals and three assists this season, and with five caps and a goal to his name for Hungary already, he looks set for a huge future.
Quick, skilful and dangerous from set pieces, Szoboszlai could be a great signing for the long-term at Arsenal, and a January exit is thought to be ‘almost certain’ with mounting interest.
Intriguingly, Szoboszlai told Goal earlier this year that he has been compared to Sergei Milinkovic-Savic and Toni Kroos, two of the top midfielders in the world – and those two comparisons will be very exciting to Arsenal fans as the Gunners ramp up their interest in the Hungarian teenager.
