Arsenal are rivalling Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus to sign Sao Paulo wonder-kid Brenner, with Calciomercato reporting that the forward has a £45 million release clause in his contract.

The Samba revolution continues in North London.

Since hiring Edu Gaspar as their technical director, the Emirates has become home to an increasing number of Brazilian footballers.

And while some have done better than others in red and white (from the exciting Gabriel Martinelli to the out-of-sorts Willian), this new-found transfer strategy looks set to stay.

Reports in Italy claim that Arsenal are in a battle with Juventus, Milan, Ajax, Lazio and Paris Saint-Germain for the latest fresh-faced sensation to catch the eye in the home of Neymar, Ronaldo and Pele.

At the age of 20, Brenner is already one of the most feared forwards in the country.

In 25 games, the Brazil youth star has already scored an impressive 15 goals this season, earning comparisons with £27 million Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.

“He is very talented, has charisma of goal, is cold, technical,” Sao Paolo coach Fernando Diniz told JP in October.

Mikel Arteta has handed a number of promising youngsters a starring role in his Arsenal revolution since replacing Unai Emery last year.

While it would certainly be a bold call paying £45 million for Brenner and using him to oust the erratic Alexandre Lacazette, the rapid rise of Bukayo Saka and Martinelli himself suggests that the Emirates may be the ideal destination for Brazil’s latest Samba starlet.
