Arsenal are battling the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City in the fight to snap up Freiburg wonderkid Noah Darvich.

Freiburg teenager Noah Darvich is attracting enormous interest with Arsenal hoping to win the race.

That is according to Sport1, who claim that ‘half of Europe’ already want to snap up Darvich.

Arsenal are named as one of the clubs chasing Darvich’s signature, alongside a number of European giants.

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Ajax are named in the race, as are Premier League rivals Chelsea.

However, the team ‘above all’ chasing Darvich’s signature are Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s former club have seemingly identified Darvich as a future star and have ‘put out feelers’ to get a deal done.

Arsenal will therefore face a major battle to sign Darvich and will need to move quickly to beat City in this transfer race.

Who is Arsenal target Noah Darvich?

Darvich has been coming up through the Freiburg ranks having previously been Sportfreunde Eintracht Freiburg.

The 16-year-old is an incredibly skilful attacking midfielder with great dribbling ability and a wand of a left foot.

Darvich mostly plays a number 10 but has also featured out wide in the early years of his career.

Darvich is the captain of the Germany Under-17 side and is currently preparing for the Under-17 European Championships final in Hungary.

The Freiburg wonderkid scored in group stage wins over Portugal and Scotland, and will now lead his side out against France in the final on Friday.

Arsenal and Manchester City will surely be watching Darvich’s display in that game as Germany look to secure the trophy.

Tuttomercatoweb have even compared Darvich to current Germany international playmaker Jamal Musiala, a likeness which is bound to excite Arsenal and City fans as they battle for his signature.
