The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is a reported transfer target for Arsenal this summer.

According to a report from German media outlet Sport Bild, Arsenal are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund ace Julian Weigl this summer, but they will have to stump up €30 million (£27 million) if they want to bring the Germany international to the Emirates.
The 23-year-old joined Dortmund from 1860 Munich in the summer of 2015, and he has gone on to make 151 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga giants.
Weigl is a defensive midfielder by trade, but he can also operate as an auxiliary centre-back – something that will undoubtedly appeal to Gunners boss Unai Emery.
The five-capped Germany international played a key role for Dortmund during their impressive campaign in the Bundesliga last season, and he clearly has the kind of attributes that Arsenal currently lack.

Weigl is comfortable in possession, and has the ability to dictate the tempo of the game from a deep-lying position. It could be argued that he would be an upgrade on Granit Xhaka, or at the very least, provide strong competition for the Swiss star.
And for the price of just £27 million, Arsenal surely cannot afford to miss out on the Dortmund schemer.
