Arsenal have reportedly joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Newcastle United’s 12 goal Premier League forward Ayoze Perez.

Arsenal have joined the growing list of clubs eyeing a summer deal for Newcastle United’s in-form forward Ayoze Perez, according to FC Inter News, while a debut for the Spanish national team is also on the cards.
Perez has been in the form of his life since the turn of the year, scoring nine goals for Rafa Benitez’s side in 2019 alone. He even grabbed the first hat-trick of his career in April, firing home three clinical finishes in a 3-1 home win against Southampton.
The former Tenerife forward told El Chiringuito back in March, however, that he felt the time was right for a new challenge, comments that will likely be dredged up again with interest rising from England and abroad.
FC Inter News reports that Inter Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has been in contact with Newcastle but Arsenal have also emerged as a potential destination for the first time.

Gunners’ head coach Unai Emery will be hoping to take the pressure off both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang next season and Perez, who combines relentless work ethic with an improving end product, certainly ticks a lot of boxes.
The report adds that Perez feels he can make the step up to a higher level should Newcastle accept an offer of around £25 million.
Spain coach Luis Enrique, meanwhile, is set to hand him an international debut in June.
