The Scottish Sun has reported that Arsenal want to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Gunners are in the market for a long-term replacement for Nacho Monreal, who turned 33 today.

And it looks like the Premier League giants might be keen on the Celtic starlet.

The Scottish Sun claims that Arsenal are readying a £25 million summer offer for the 21-year-old, who they’ve been tracking for two years.

This speculation comes on an already-terrible day for Hoops fans.

Celtic announced earlier on Tuesday that they had given manager Brendan Rodgers permission to speak to Leicester City.

And The Scottish Sun reported that the Northern Irishman has already agreed a three-year deal with the Foxes ahead of a mid-season switch which has devastated the Parkhead faithful.

Tierney, contracted to the Bhoys until 2023, is one of the most promising left-backs in Europe and losing him so soon after Rodgers would be a massive blow for the Premiership leaders.
