Arsenal are interested in the £25 million-rated Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby, according to Le10 Sport, and his agent apparently has an excellent relationship with the Premier League giants.

Kai Havertz is not the only 20-year-old potential superstar in Peter Bosz’s free-flowing Leverkusen side. As Diaby showed during Monday night’s 4-1 thrashing of Werder Bremen – when he took his tally of assists to eight this season – this speedy forward is another to keep an eye on.

If reports are to be believed, the former PSG starlet could be showcasing his explosive pace and long-range rocket shots in England sooner rather than later.

Le10 Sport claims that Diaby’s transfer value has doubled to somewhere in the region of £25 million, less than a year after he swapped the Ligue 1 champions for the Bundesliga.

It remains to be seen, with funds tight at the Emirates, whether Arsenal would be willing to invest such a sizeable sum in a player who, despite a series of electrifying performances in recent months, is far from the finished product.

Diaby’s agent apparently has good links with those in North London, which could give Arsenal an advantage over rival suitors Borussia Dortmund.

Interestingly, the France U21 international was at PSG during the reign of Unai Emery, although the ex-Gunners boss decided against putting his faith in the homegrown starlet.

“(Current PSG coach) Thomas Tuchel wanted me to stay. He promised me that I would develop well under him and that he would give me enough playing time,” Diaby told Goal.

“It has been quite different to under Unai Emery.”
