According to Football London, Arsenal are thinking about recalling Miguel Azeez from his loan at Portsmouth, as they’re unhappy with his game time.
What’s the story?
Well, the whole point of sending the 19-year-old Hale End gem to Fratton Park was so that he could gain some experience away from Arsenal.
However, things haven’t exactly gone to plan under Danny Cowley, who did a fantastic job with Emile Smith Rowe at Huddersfield.
Azeez has played just 59 minutes of football for Portsmouth this season, which is very disappointing given his incredible potential.
Arsenal presumably hoped to have the teenager back at London Colney in the summer fit and ready to stake a claim for the first-team.
After all, Mikel Arteta has already given Azeez his first-team debut – he played seven minutes against Dundalk in the Europa League last season.
In that respect, the Spaniard clearly thinks the England Under-20 international is good enough for first-team football.

Arsenal shouldn’t even be considering this decision – it should’ve already been made.
We cannot believe Portsmouth haven’t used Azeez more often – he is a fantastic prodigy who has enough talent to impact games in League One.
For whatever reason, Cowley doesn’t see fit to use him, and he’s entitled to make that decision as manager.
It doesn’t benefit Arsenal, however, so the Gunners should get him back to the Emirates Stadium immediately with a view to finding a new loan move in January.
Azeez is a serious talent, and unfortunately, he’s wasted a big chunk of time.
If Arsenal can find another club to take him on loan, some contractual obligations must be included.
For example, Edu must negotiate a set amount of appearances for Azeez, among other obligations.
Whatever happens, it’s vital that Arsenal make this next step count for the promising midfield sensation.
