Arsenal have been linked with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Malcom and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Arsenal are the Premier League club at the centre of the January transfer window as they prepare to lose Alexis Sanchez and make plans to fill the void left by the Chilean forward.

As The Independent reports, Sanchez is expected to join Manchester United after Manchester City pulled out of the race to sign the 29-year-old, whose Gunners contract expires in the summer.

BBC Sport understands that United playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan could move the other way as part of the Sanchez deal, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Malcom are also Arsenal targets.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan of Manchester United warms up prior to the Premier League match between Manchester United and Southampton at Old Trafford on December 30, 2017 in Manchester, England.

However, BBC Sport adds that it is improbable that Arsenal will sign all three players this month despite intending to reinvest funds raised from the sales of Sanchez and Theo Walcott, who is close to joining Everton in a transfer worth more than £20m after 12 years and 397 appearances at the Emirates.

Bordeaux winger Malcolm, who has seven goals and five assists in Ligue 1 this season, would be a more direct replacement for Sanchez, but Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang would represent the type of marquee who would appease Arsenal fans who are irritated by selling their best player to a rival.

With Bild reporting that Aubameyang has handed in a transfer request at Dortmund and Mkhitaryan out of favour at United, those two players seem more accessible in the January window.

Both players will also be well known to new sporting director Sven Mislintat, who left Dortmund for Arsenal in November, while 20-year-old Brazilian Malcom is more of an unknown entity.

What do you reckon Arsenal fans? Would you be happy with Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang this January?
