According to 90min, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton and West Ham are interested in signing Cruz Azul star Orbelin Pineda, while Southampton, Newcastle and Wolves are also keen.
The report states that the seven Premier League clubs are eyeing up the 24-year-old, who rejected Manchester City before joining Cruz Azul in a deal worth over £10 million.
Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Porto and Monaco – among several other European sides according to 90min – are also interested in signing the Mexico international.
It is said in the report that a move to one of those four sides is the attacker’s most likely destination, although the Premier League clubs involved will continue to keep an eye on him.
For those of you who don’t know much about Pineda, 90min’s report sheds some light on the type of player he is.
They describe the Cruz Azal forward as a player ‘known’ for his ability to drift past opponents using his low centre of gravity.
Pineda has scored eight goals while also notching seven assists in 68 games for the Liga MX outfit.
Additionally, his contract with Cruz Azul is set to expire in December 2021.
As a result, unless he renews his terms soon, we could potentially see some developments with his future.
